English Artist Redesigns 2013’s Brit Award Statue

After 25 years of experience, 47 year old artist and entrepreneur Damien Hirst has designed the Brit Award Statue for 2013. Hirst follows in the footsteps of Vivienne Westwood and Sir Peter Blake. The Brits will take place next month, 20th February at the 02 Arena in London.

“I am honoured to be asked to design this year’s statue,” said Hirst. “It has become such an iconic award, I love the Brits.” – Hirst stated.

Brits chairman David Joseph stated “Damien is truly one of the most important British artists and his re imagining of the statue will make winning a 2013 Brit an even more special proposition”
